Web Project Management

A good web project management based to several important factors. The most important is we must follow the guideline. The guidelines normally refer to any management principles, the key elements of project, the model and also the planning tools used.
Cost, Time and Quality are the three key elements that we must focus. Each project manager has to maintain the appropriate balance between these three elements.
There are three web management model. There are the Tradisional Organizational hierarchy, the project Co-ordinator Model and the Delicate tension Model. Each model have its own advantages. For my opinion the best web management model is the Delicate Tension Model because it use the informal and formal reporting and communication strategy among the teams. The project manager can lose their control of management process if they using the Project Co-ordinator Model. But, most of project management todays normally use the Tradisional Organizational Hierarchy Model because of the full authority.
In producing a good website, we can use any of project planning tools. For example, the Gant Chart, a static representation of a dynamic situation. There many types of Gant Chart can we can use based on the project.
Necessary Skills is another major factors of good web management. This refers to the strategies , the project management, the good architecture and design, the programming and the most important is the content.

Before I start, I would like to brief the meaning of a website (or web site). It is a collection of related web pages, images, videos or other digital assets that are addressed with a common domain name or IP address in an Internet Protocol-based network. Everyone knows, today website plays the importance roles in daily lives. So, for me every websites must be faster even if the cost is higher. In order to discuss this issue, the writer considers “how fast” related to the performance of the website. This involves the expectation and requirements of the performance among computer or Internet users.

If we talks about how fast does a website need to be, I agreed with the writer that it is based on the user psychology, the system and the usage consideration. The User Psychology basically refers to several situations such as the response time, the speed of the Internet Connection and also based to the activity types. However, the user expectation and the surfing intent are also some of the factors of user psychology. In order to build the “fast website” we also need to check for system consideration which is also involved the higher cost.

In order to discuss on the performance requirement, we can conclude that it is referring to the user’s expectation, the resource limitation and also the stakeholder expectations. Each Internet users I believe will be always consider on the reasonable download time. The limitations of resources such as money and hardware will also affect the performance requirements. From the data given we can conclude that the usage during peak hour also one of the factor can affect the Internet performance.

My conclusion is every Internet users refers the performance to the speed, scalability and the stability of the websites but until today there is no industry standards for website performance. Meaning that it is depends on our needs and requirement when we discuss on how fast we need the websites are. Of course what all Internet users always need is the fasters Website, better performance with the lower cost. Although there are many constrain in order to fulfill Internet users’ expectation, I believe with the telecommunication Technologies that we have today, the performance of Website will be much better.
